The Underwater Firemen are a hazy indie-rock band. Their music is a combination of catchy pop melodies, vocal harmonies and weird, fuzzy guitar noises. UWFM are known for their strange affection for analog delay settings and old spring reverbs, which play an important role in almost every UWFM song. Their colorful blend of Beach boys melodies filtered through an indie rock aesthetic has drawn comparison to Of Montreal and The Shins
